One material, chosen once. Every Bobaby Buddy is moulded from 100% food-grade silicone — the same family of material used for bottle teats and bakeware. No BPA, no phthalates, and no paint on the surface a child puts in their mouth: the colour is the silicone.
Why silicone, and not hard plastic.
Silicone is soft enough not to hurt a gum and firm enough to hold its shape for years — 50 Shore A, the hardness used across the category. It does not splinter when it lands on a tiled floor, it does not go cloudy in the dishwasher, and its working range of −40 °C to 230 °C means freezer, dishwasher and microwave all sit comfortably inside it.
Nothing small enough to come loose.
The bodies are moulded in one piece. The lids are silicone, hinged, and attached to the body they close. The suction base is part of the same moulding, not a separate disc that can be prised off. Everything that does detach — the spork, the lids — is tested against the small-parts rule for the age grade the product carries.
