Care
Dishwasher safe on the top rack, and happy in the microwave without the lids. Unclip the hinges the first few times so you can reach behind them, rinse after purées, and let everything air dry before you snap the lids shut. No bleach, no abrasive sponges.

Is it leak-proof in a bag?
It is leak-resistance, and the difference matters. Each of the five sections has its own silicone lid with an O-ring seal, and the purée tub has a cap of its own — enough to carry yoghurt or wet fruit upright in a changing bag all morning. We would not lay a full one flat in a rucksack for an hour.
Will it fit in a changing bag or a stroller pocket?
Yes — that is what it was designed for. It closes flat, the lids sit flush and there is nothing sticking out to catch on anything. It is light enough that a toddler carries it themselves, which is usually what happens.
What goes in the middle tub?
Anything that needs a spoon: purée, yoghurt, hummus, compote. It is deeper than the five outer sections and has its own sealing cap, so it travels beside dry food without either one reaching the other.
Snack Buddy or Meal Buddy — which one do I need?
The Snack Buddy is the portable one, the Meal Buddy is the sit-down one. Most families end up with both. The comparison above puts them side by side, feature by feature.
Is the silicone safe, and can it go in the dishwasher?
100% food-grade silicone, BPA and phthalate free, and the colour is pigment through the silicone rather than a coating, so there is nothing to chip or wash off. Dishwasher safe on the top rack. There is more on materials & safety and on product care.
What age is it for?
Nine months and up, which is when most babies start handling food themselves. The Snack Buddy tends to stay in the bag long after that — well into the nursery years.

The Butterfly Snack Buddy is a baby portable snack box moulded from 100% food-grade silicone. Five sections sit around a deep purée tub, each one under its own leak-resistance silicone lid with an O-ring seal, so wet food and dry food share the same box without ever meeting. The quick-snap hinges let every lid come off for washing and click back on afterwards.

A base that keeps snacks off the floor
Underneath, a suction base holds the box to a table or a high-chair tray — the part parents notice first, because it is the part that keeps a snack off the floor. The colours and the embossed star and heart are there on purpose: at nine months, naming a shape is as much of the meal as eating it.
