Dishwasher safe on the top rack, and happy in the microwave without the lid. Wash the spork and the lid seal by hand the first time, rinse after purées, and let everything air dry before you snap it shut. No bleach, no abrasive sponges.

Questions parents ask about this one

Will the suction base really hold on a high-chair tray?

On any flat, non-porous surface, yes: a high-chair tray, a table, a worktop. Press it down once and it stays. It will not hold on open-grain wood, on a textured placemat, or on a surface with crumbs underneath — and neither will anyone else’s.

Is the spork included, and where does it live?

Included with every Meal Buddy. It clicks into a channel inside the lid, so it travels with the set instead of at the bottom of a bag. Rounded head, soft-touch handle, sized for small mouths.

Can I microwave it? Can I freeze it?

Both — in the microwave without the lid, so steam has somewhere to go. Silicone is stable well beyond anything you would serve a baby, so warming a purée straight in the bowl is no problem. Check the temperature before it goes on the tray, as you would with any bowl.

Meal Buddy or Snack Buddy — which one do I need?

The Meal Buddy is the sit-down one, the Snack Buddy is the portable one. Most families end up with both. The comparison above puts them side by side, feature by feature.

Is the silicone safe, and can it go in the dishwasher?

100% food-grade silicone, BPA and phthalate free, and the colour is pigment through the silicone rather than a coating, so there is nothing to chip or wash off. Dishwasher safe on the top rack. There is more on materials & safety and on product care.

What age is it for?

Nine months and up, which is when most babies start handling food themselves. The Meal Buddy usually stays on the table until three or four, long after the purées stop.

Three sections, one lid

The Ladybug Meal Buddy is a baby portable meal set in 100% food-grade silicone. Three open sections keep a purée and two finger foods apart on the same plate, and the leak-resistance lid seals the whole thing with an O-ring so a meal travels in a bag rather than only sitting on the table.

A spork that lives in the lid

The soft-touch spork has a rounded head sized for small mouths and clicks into a channel inside the lid, which means it is in the bag when you need it instead of at the bottom of it. The body is one soft piece of silicone, smooth all the way round, with no corners where yesterday’s lunch can hide.
